Christian sees Planswell as "a college education but for real life...for sales."
(Watch Time — 4:51)
Just like your first week at college can be a bit overwhelming, acclimating to the Planswell process can be...a lot.
"You just have to submit yourself to the process," Christian says. "It's a bit like weight loss." You have to let go of your preconceptions and adapt some new mindsets. Christian told himself "I'm just going to do the best I can at it and be open minded," and boy did it pay off for him.
He started with 10 leads a month, and after onboarding $2 million in AUM from Planswell households, he jumped up to 50.
"It's work," Christian admits. You're not going to magically close 5 deals your first month without trying. "You have to be up late, do your emails...you have to go get it."
Once you do, however, "it's a win-win for everybody."
Christian's advice for new advisors:
- Set realistic expectations — it will take time to build trust and rapport.
- Call your leads right away. That way, they can't say "I don't know what Planswell is" because they just filled out their questionnaire 2 minutes ago.
- It may take time to grow, but eventually things will snowball.
